Who is responsible
Public Voice Canada is operated by Lofthouse Wildlife Surveys. The operator details are Wallingford; VAT ID: GB 432244330; Registration Date: 2023-02-13; Authorised representative: Elliot Mercer. The contact for questions about personal information is [email protected].
This policy applies to participation in our economic opinion polls, requests for related email updates and communications you send to us. Public Voice Canada is not the Bank of Canada, a government agency or a service operated by a public figure named in a question.
Information you choose to provide
The poll asks for your views on economic priorities, interest rates, household pressures and economic expectations. It does not ask for your income, account details, tax identifiers, payment information or a postal address. Where offered, “Not sure” or “Prefer not to say” lets you express uncertainty or decline a personal question.
The final step asks for an email address only if you want survey-related updates. Your answer choices may be associated with that request. If you contact us separately, the information you include in your message is also relevant to responding to the issue you raise; please avoid sending financial credentials or unrelated sensitive documents.
Purposes and consent
Answer choices are used to understand the views expressed in the poll and, where appropriate, prepare a summary of participating respondents’ opinions. An email address is requested for the survey follow-up and poll updates described beside the form. It is not a request to open an investment account, apply for credit or purchase a financial product.
The final button states the request you are making and is accompanied by a consent explanation before submission. You may complete the questions without requesting emails. We do not treat permission for cookies as permission for email contact, and a new unrelated use of personal information would require a separate explanation and an appropriate basis.
Economic opinions and identifiable information
An economic opinion can become more sensitive when linked to an identifiable person. We therefore explain that answers and an email may be used together when you request follow-up. Only share the information you are comfortable providing for that purpose.
Published summaries, if produced, should describe participating respondents as a self-selected group. They should not identify a person’s answer choices or present a voluntary online poll as a representative measure of all Canadians. We do not use responses to determine eligibility for employment, credit, insurance or another individual financial service.
Service providers and disclosures
Hosting, email delivery and administrative service providers may handle information to support the purposes described here. Their role is to support the service, rather than receive permission to independently market to you. The name of a public figure in a question does not mean that the person receives participant information.
The site does not currently load an external analytics service or marketing tracker. We do not provide consent through this form for selling your contact details or distributing your opinions to unrelated advertisers. Disclosure may nevertheless be required where a valid legal obligation applies; you may contact us to ask about relevant recipients.
International handling
The audience for this poll is in Canada, while the operator details are those published above. Information may be processed outside your province or country by the operator or a service provider. Laws in the place of processing may allow access by courts or public authorities.
When another organization processes information on our behalf, responsibility for the stated purposes and appropriate safeguards remains with the operator. You can ask about the location and nature of relevant processing before choosing to provide an email address. Do not assume that the Canadian audience means every activity occurs within Canada.
Retention and safeguards
Identifiable information should be kept only for as long as it remains needed for the purpose explained when it was provided, for a related request or for an applicable legal obligation. Poll responses can be removed or de-identified when identification is no longer necessary. An email request remains relevant until withdrawn or the related communication purpose ends.
A minimal record of an unsubscribe request may be retained to respect your choice and avoid contacting you again. Privacy preferences expire after six months, while the active question selections remain relevant to the current survey visit. Appropriate access controls and secure handling should reflect the sensitivity of information; no communication method eliminates every security risk.
Your choices and requests
You can request information about personal information held about you, ask for an inaccurate email address to be corrected, withdraw consent or raise a concern about a use or disclosure. Write to [email protected] with enough detail to identify your request. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing personal information.
An email unsubscribe option can be used for future messages, and you may also contact us directly. A request to remove information is considered in light of the purpose for which it is held and any applicable legal obligation. Where a requested action cannot be completed, the reason should be explained rather than your request being ignored.
Cookies, children and privacy concerns
Essential technologies support the interface and remember privacy preferences. Optional categories are controlled through “Cookie settings”; choosing an optional category does not itself introduce an external tracker. The Cookie Policy explains the categories, retention and current third-party status.
The poll is intended for adults in Canada and is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. You may also raise a privacy concern with the relevant Canadian federal or provincial privacy regulator; applicable rights depend on the circumstances and jurisdiction.
Policy changes and contact
If the purposes, services or handling of personal information change, this policy and the information presented at the point of collection should be updated. A revised date helps you identify the current version. Continued participation is not treated as consent to an unrelated purpose that requires a new choice.
For privacy enquiries, contact Lofthouse Wildlife Surveys at [email protected] and refer to Public Voice Canada. The Contact page repeats the operator details. Canadian privacy requirements, including PIPEDA and applicable provincial rules, apply where their legal scope is met.
